Chocolate cake



For the cake: 3 cups flour (all purpose), 6 tablespoons cocoa powder,

1 teaspoon salt (these 3 ingredients well sifted, then combined),

2 cups water, 2 cups sugar, 10 tablespoons sunflower oil or corn oil,

2 tablespoons vinegar, 2 vanilla essence (combine these to dissolve

the sugar), juice of 1 orange with 1 teaspoon baking soda.

For the topping: 250gr dark chocolate (even more if you like),

1 vanilla essence, 11 tablespoons sunflower oil or corn oil




Mix very well all the ingredients for the cake together. Brush with oil a baking pan 28-30 cm and put in it all the cake mixture. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 175 degrees for 40-45 minutes. While this is in the oven, prepare the topping.

Put the ingredients of the topping to melt (in a bowl into hot water).

When the cake is ready, with a knife make some “slits” on it and while it is still hot, pour over the chocolate topping, spoon for spoon to go everywhere.

It is simply a perfect cake. It counts approx 200 calories a piece.
